Family fun was had by all at the colleges annual Summer Fair 2017
North Lindsey College welcomed the community into the heart of education at North Lindsey College for its annual summer fair. The event is now in its third year and has continued to build on its success from previous years.
Viking FM was at the forefront of the event entertaining the crowds and giving away spot prizes including Little Mix tickets.
Despite the rain the college boasted its biggest footfall to date. Cheryl Pearce (Parent) said, "This has really given me an idea of what the college has to offer - it really has changed from how I initially remember it. It was really good to visit all the areas and see what kind of courses that can be studied here."
A full itinerary of activities was on hand from all the areas including animal handling, zorbing, music performances, Children’s University, wipe-out challenge, bouncy castles, glitter tattoos and virtual welding at the event as well as a showcase of work created by the talented young professionals. External providers also supported the college including Jamie’s Sweet Emporium, Twin Tigers martial arts, Imagination Library, Time Out Drum Therapy, Amnesty International and Bishop Grosseteste University.
Freya Greenall (10) attended the fair and said, "It was really fun and interesting to see and hold the animals in animal care. I would definitely like it here when I school and I would like eventually like to become a vet."
Piper Pearce (9) said, "I really enjoyed visiting the hair and beauty department and I even had my nails done. The inflatables were also lots of fun; I’ve really enjoyed it."
The next Advice and Enrolment session is held at the College on Monday 17th July 2017, 4.30pm-7.00pm where members of staff will be available for all enquiries.
