Be the Next Apprentice!

North Lindsey is holding its next apprenticeship open event on Tuesday 16th January 2018, 4.00pm-6.00pm.

The event will be held in the main building at the Kingsway campus offering apprenticeships in a variety of courses as well as advice and guidance.  The event is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking for an apprenticeship and also for any employers who are ready to take on an apprentice and are interested in finding out more details about the procedure, full cost training and how the College will be able to assist in the process.

The College is the largest provider of apprenticeships in North Lincolnshire with over 900 on programme in a wide variety of careers such as engineering, construction, motor vehicle, accountancy, business studies, customer services, health and social care, early years, catering and hospitality, digital technologies, digital support, hair and beauty and supporting teaching and learning.

For those interested in doing an apprenticeship they will be able to find out on the evening about current vacancies ranging from intermediate, advanced and higher level in a variety of industries.  Some of the apprenticeship vacancies currently available include: Plumbing, HGV Mechanic, Accounts Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Site Joiner and Administration staff.  More information regarding any of the vacancies can be obtained on the night or via the College website.

Lucy Smith (22) came to North Lindsey College looking for an apprenticeship and became the first apprentice to work in the blast furnaces for British Steel.  Lucy has since gone from strength to strength in her chosen career whilst being recognised in the industry for her achievements.
The business development team will be available on the night to assist in any queries as well as the careers guidance team for anyone who may need and advice on their future career plans.  Emma Parker (Employability Learning Facilitator) said, "North Lindsey College continue to secure excellent apprenticeship opportunities and the apprenticeship open event is a fantastic opportunity to not only meet the team but also meet employers who have apprenticeship vacancies."
