Celebrating Employer Links through Work Experience

North Lindsey College have announced that during the last academic year their students completed a staggering 67,208 hours’ worth of work experience.

“We are committed to enhancing our students’ employability skills to ensure they are fully prepared for the world of work,” says Danny Fenwick, Head of Performance at the College.  
 
We work closely with local employers to ensure we focus on the key skills students need to develop to meet the needs of industry.  Work experience is a fantastic opportunity for students to put these skills into practice in a safe, supportive and challenging environment and a great opportunity to enhance their CV’s.
 
Work experience provision does not stop in North Lincolnshire; North Lindsey College students are able to gain experience across the country. This national provision allows students to broaden their horizons, with a high percentage of our students gaining employment or an apprenticeship as a result of their experience,” concludes Danny.
 
Over 500 employers are engaged in the College’s work experience provision, across every sector and curriculum area.
 
These figures equate to over 90% of 16-18-year-olds regularly completing a period in their chosen industry.
