College Students Get Fresh

Students have welcomed in the new academic year with a fun Fresher’s event held at North Lindsey College.

Fresher’s events are happening all over the country and North Lindsey College is no exception.  The event encouraged staff and students to participate and meet all the new and existing students and show them the fun side of learning at North Lindsey College.

Inflatable wipe-out, information stands, bungee run and archery were on offer, welcoming the new and existing students to the college.

Students also had the opportunity to visit exhibition stands and find out about many businesses and services in the area that are available to them including driving lessons, health organisations, careers guidance and agencies supporting the community.  Students were also offered fantastic discounts and valuable information helping them with their studies, career paths and personal wellbeing.

Cake and coffee was also on sale for all the staff, exhibitors and students to support and raise money for the Macmillan coffee morning campaign.

Creative Digital Media student, Molly Taylor (16) and a former Winterton Comprehensive pupil commented, “I have got some really good information at the event today, there was some good opportunities for volunteering and we have enjoyed our time here – I particularly enjoyed the bungee run.”
