North Lindsey College has pulled out all the punches to bring a brand new boxing academy, launching on the 8th November.
This exciting new academy has been launched by popular demand and will run in partnership with Scunthorpe Boxing Club, on site at their purpose built gym in Scunthorpe.

“Boxing is a fantastic sport to enhance cardio vascular health, improve your total body strength, hand eye coordination and is a great stress relief," says Ian Hamilton, Curriculum leader for Sport and Uniformed Services "all students will be with a qualified coach and can go at their own pace."
“Sessions are open to male and females, all college courses and all abilities.

"The students will be training with Gemma Richardson who is the current female European Junior Champion, this is a fantastic opportunity for North Lindsey College students to watch and train with a champion.”

North Lindsey College pride themselves on responding to the student voice and after recognising the rise in popularity in boxing, from both male and female students, pushed ahead with implementing the academy.

The college have some very talented student boxers, including Gemma Richardson who has been tipped as the next big thing in UK female boxing, will also be supporting this new development.

Other academies in rugby, netball and football have proved to be a huge success for the college, the new boxing academy adds to the sport portfolio on offer.
