The Kingsway Children's Centre
Kingsway Children’s Centre is a full day care centre on campus registered for 90 children from 5 months to 8 years.
All practitioners working in the centre are highly qualified with a strong commitment to continued professional development. Qualifications of practitioners range from Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development to Level 6 BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional Status.
In August 2015 after an Ofsted inspection the centre was awarded ‘Outstanding’ for a second time as was previously given this status in 2011. The centre is the only full day care (5months – 5 years) provider in North Lincolnshire to achieve the consecutive grade of ‘Outstanding’.
Ofsted 2015 stated “Staff have excellent knowledge and understanding of how children play, learn and develop. They guide children’s learning exceptionally well with outstanding teaching strategies, precise assessments and planning for individual children”.
The centre has won North Lincolnshire’s ‘Nursery of the Year’ award in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2010 which was voted by the children’s parents. Additionally the centre has also achieved Step Three in the Local Authorities ‘Steps to Quality’ programme. The centre is now undertaking further programmes of quality improvement such as “Achieving Early and Basic Skills quality mark” to ensure children are given the best start in life.
After an inspection by North Lincolnshire Council’s Food Standards Agency, the centre was awarded the highest food hygiene rating scheme (5 stars) for food hygiene practices.
Due to popularity of the Nursery, places are taken very quickly – particularly for babies and two year early education funding – so we advise you to contact us early if you think you will need our services.
