Entry Requirements

We have a long-standing success rate with students who have been out of full-time education for some years, who may enter without holding the formal requirements.

Students without formal entry qualifications

Work, family and life experiences develop skills which can be built on to achieve formal qualifications. We offer a short ‘Degree Start’ course to help you prepare yourself for HE study. This usually takes place during the Summer Term.

Standard Entry Minimum Requirements

You should be able to fulfil standard minimum requirements as follow:


One 12-unit/Two 6 unit A levels (80 UCAS points) or one double award. VCE A Level plus GCSEs at grade C or above.

HND and Foundation Degree

Passes in one A level (40 UCAS points) or BTEC NC/ND or VCE A level plus 3 GCSEs at grade C or above.

Competence in English Language

All applicants are expected to have achieved: GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent); Key Skills Level 2 communication; Diagnostic testing in line with the IELTS examination.
