North Lindsey College officially opens a £1.5 million brand new Success Centre at its Kingsway campus.

Professor Mary Stuart, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lincoln, officially opened the building.  The brand new state of the art learning facility will house painting and decorating, foundation learning and a success centre for learners with disabilities and learning difficulties.

Professor Roger Bennett, North Lindsey College Principal commented, "The new building is part of an exciting transformation taking place at the College campus.  The building will house terrific resources for all three departments."

Learner Danny Othman (aged 17) commented, "I think the new building is really nice.  It is very modern and is quite different to where we used to learn.  We are taught a variety of subjects through our course including employability training and work placement tutoring which is really interesting.  I am excited to use all the new facilities."

The building is just one in a line of developments that are in the process at the College, extending the campus and its facilities.  Work is underway at the front of the building to redesign the main entrance and the demolition of the former Beacon House is underway to make room for the brand new STEM academy which is due to open in September 2011.
