Exams
Examinations - Overview
Most learners at the College are aiming to achieve an award validated by a nationally recognised awarding body. Before learners can receive their award there are a number of processes that the College must undertake on their behalf, such as entry/registration, payment of fees, conduct of examinations and/or moderation and submission of results. The College also needs its own systems for recording and tracking entries/results in order to update its ILR (student data) records.
The administration of all these processes is the responsibility of the Examinations team, situated at the front of the Registry Office. The Examinations team should be your first point of contact for any query or advice regarding entries and results.
If you need to contact the Examinations team, please telephone on 01724 294113 or send an e-mail to exams@northlindsey.ac.uk.
The Examinations team are available:
| Monday to Thursday | 08.45am – 5.00pm |
| Friday | 08.45am – 4.00pm |
Achievement Information
When the Examinations Team receives result claims from tutors they send the information to the awarding bodies. The awarding bodies can take anywhere between 1-7 weeks to process result claims.
When the claims have been approved by the awarding body they will issue certificates to the Examinations team, who will then issue the certificate to the learner.
Most awarding bodies do not inform the college of unsuccessful learners.
