Fitness Centre

The Kingsway Fitness Suite

At North Lindsey College we're proud of our on-site fitness centre.

The fitness suite, which is managed by professional staff, provides a safe training area for our Sport and Recreation learners who help to run the centre, gaining valuable work experience in the process.

Anybody over 16 years of age can become a member, and with our attractive rates (including competitive corporate packages), the centre offers great value for money. What’s more, if you produce your Students Association card, you will be eligible for discounted membership.

We believe the fitness suite is one of the best in Scunthorpe, with a full range of resistance training and cardio vascular machines, along with a free weights area. Our members are of all ages and backgrounds, and so the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. It is ideally located for our learners, but with our large car parks members of the public also find it easy to get to. Why not put your spare time to good use. Class Information

Circuit Training:

A multi-stationed class for an all over body workout incorporating all the basic elements of fitness.

Aerobiking:

A group cycle class using resistance to simulate the ups and downs of hill terrain. This is a definite 'Calorie Burner!'.

Body Conditioning:

An ultimate fat burner for all those problem areas. Ideal for any level of fitness.

Step Aerobics:

A high energy, fun way of burning those calories and getting fit.

Boxercise:

An effective total body workout combining traditional boxing moves in a circuit format.

All classes should be booked via Fitness Suite reception tel: 01724 294150.

Classes can only be booked one week in advance.

If you cannot make a class, please cancel your booking in good time. Class membership cards must be used to gain entry.

Fitness Testing

£10 - Induction

This is the initial assessment that you will undertake upon starting your membership at the Kingsway Fitness Suite. The mini fitness test enables your instructor to write a programme specific to your needs and goals. The test measures:

Full Membership - Gym

£160 per annum*

Quarterly payments of £40.00

Full Membership - Gym & Class

£180 per annum*

This membership is ideal for those looking to train twice weekly or more and also take part in exercise classes.

Staff and students can take advantage of 1 years membership for £75 on production of a valid ID card.

Joint Membership - Gym

£270 per annum*

Quarterly payments of £67.50*
